AWARENESS PROGRAMMES/CAMPS ORGANISED



  • Since, Cancer management in developing countries requires more emphasis on prevention and early detection to control this disease. Hence, to motivate the Doctors and to educate & aware people this program was formulated.

  • In our hospital, Community Oncology department functions to increase awareness in general populationandto educate them. The Community Oncology & Tobacco Cessation Programme in all the districts of Bihar has been in full swing. In the educative & awareness programme Maximum NGOs, Schools & Colleges of the state social activities & State Govt. Machinery are associated with us in this programme.

  • Objective of this programme is to prevent cancer & detect in its early stage of the disease, so that mortality rate can be drastically minimized.

  • More than half of the districts of Bihar are covered to aware and motivate Medical practitioners and Alternate medicine practitioners.

  • The districts so far covered are Patna, Vaishali, Bhojpur, Buxar, Bhabhua, Rohtas, Saran, Sitamarhi, Bhagalpur, Begusarai, Nalanda, Barh, Lakhisarai, Gaya etc. and by the middle of 2019 the plan is to cover the entire state and update the scenario in all the districts. Around 1840 doctors have been benefited by this program.

  • Free Health check-ups and Cancer detection camps are also organized in rural areas such as in Chapra (Saran), Ekangersarai (Nalanda), Arrah (Bhojpur), Barh, Bakhtiyarpur, Fatuha (Patna), Buxar, Hajipur (Vaishali), Sonepur (Saran) as well as in Urban areas such as Bhagalpur, Gaya & Patna.

  • The districts affected with unusual heavy metal (As/Pb) toxicity in Bihar are given field visits to get more awareness and suggestions to manage their protocol of living. We provide proper counseling, palliative care to the Cancer/Toxicity-suffering patients and free-of-cost “Toxicity testing” of drinking water and blood samples in suitable cases.
